Insurance

The cost of routine eye exams and prescription eyewear can be of real concern, especially for large families. In many cases, vision insurance can lower these annual expenses.

A vision insurance policy is not the same as health insurance. Regular health insurance plans protect you against financial losses due to unexpected eye injuries or disease. Vision insurance, on the other hand, is a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye care, prescription eyewear and other vision-related services at a reduced cost.

Because we provide both medical and routine eye care, we accept a number of insurance plans to help cover the cost depending on your individual needs. Here are just some of the plans that we accept:

Medical Plans we accept

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Galaxy Health Networks
  • Medicare
  • Multiplan
  • PHCS

COVID 19 Update

Dear Patients,

We want you to know that your health and well-being is our top priority at Focusing on Eye Care. In following recommendations provided by the CDC, we have implemented new protocols at our office in order to protect the health of our patient and our team. Please know that we will continue to take necessary measures as guidelines evolve.

Every person who visits Focusing on Eye Care for exam services will be screened . This will include a temperature check and brief health questionnaire. This applies to all patients and their accompanying guests. Should you or a guest have a temperature indicating a fever, have any upper respiratory issues such as cough or shortness of breath, or have recently traveled to a high-risk zone, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment for a later date until you are well or clear of any potential illness for a minimum of 14 days.

Our team members who are scheduling and confirming appointments will also be pre-screening patients over the phone for these signs and symptoms in order to save you a trip should you need to be rescheduled for a later date due to these protocols.

We are limiting the number of guests in our facilities to 1 per patient, and we ask that you only bring a guest with you if it is absolutely necessary.

Focusing on Eye Care is also taking additional measures to maintain a healthy environment for everyone through limiting our hours of operation, increased cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day, and limiting patient visits to our clinic for urgent care needs.

Thank you for all your cooperation and support. Our hearts go out to you all during this difficult time. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies so we can make further assessments as events unfold. If you are needing assistance please call us at 817-847-7747 and reach out to us through our website contact form and we will regularly check messages and voicemails left even during times of unexpected clinic closures.
